Walk 40 Miles in 40 Days  for a church-wide walk challenge  

as we journey toward the cross together

​

As we prepare our hearts for Lent, we invite you to join us in a meaningful

journey of faith, movement, and community.

This Lent, we're walking together in our 40 Miles in 40 Days

TUMC Lenten Steps Challenge...

a simple and intentional way to reflect on our walk with Jesus, one step at a time.

​

The challenge is simple:
From Ash Wednesday through Easter, we invite everyone to walk 40 total miles over 40 days.

That's about one mile a day, but you can break it up however works best for you.

Walk outside, on a treadmill, around the neighborhood, or even in Walmart.

All ages and abilities are welcome.

(A modified version that includes ways to "walk"

a mile while doing Chair Yoga is available upon request.

This challenge isn't about speed or competition. It's about:
• Creating space for prayer and reflection
• Caring for our physical and spiritual health
• Walking together as a community during Lent

​

Each finisher will receive a "

Finisher's Certificate of Completion"

and Completion Medal on Easter!

​

Why we're walking:

By participating in this challenge and giving as you're able, you are also

helping us offer a FREE Vacation Bible School for the children in our community

this summer. Your generosity helps ensure every child is welcomed, valued, and included....

no matter their circumstances.

​

Vacation Bible School is vital because it introduces

children to the love of Jesus, builds a foundation of faith

at a young age, and creates a safe, joyful

place where kids can belong and grow.

​

✨ By walking in this challenge, your donation is helping

cover the cost for three children to attend VBS this summer! ✨

​

​

Giving is easy, and our church now accepts donations through Venmo,

making it simple to support this mission anytime.   Memo: Lenten Steps.  

Cash or Checks can be dropped off or mailed to the church office.

Whether you walk every day or just when you can, whether you

give financially or lift this ministry up in prayer....every step matters.

The Cost:

$25 per adult walker

Includes: A daily tracking journal and t-shirt 

Children can register for free 

*optional purchase a children's t-shirt for $15
